Abstract

|
Objectives :The purpose of this study Is to compare characteristics of personal4ty in the patients with major depressive disorder and those with generali;~ed anxiety disorder by using the PAI(Personality Assessment Inventory). Methods ~ PAI(Personality Assessmf~nt Inventory) was applied to 16 patients with major depressive disorder and 12 patients with generalized anxiety disorder.
Results : PIM(positive impression) score was significantly higher in the patients with major depressive disorder than those with generalized anxiety disorder.
Conclusion :The patients with major depressive disorder have more "faking good"tendency than those with gerneralized anxiety disorder.
